Cardinal Impact Awards
Cardinal Impact Award - Seeking Nominations
Wayne County High School is seeking nominations for the first annual Cardinal Impact Award.
Nominees for this award are citizens of Wayne County / Monticello who have demonstrated compassion to others in times of need, those who have helped fellow community members, those who have sought to enrich our community, and / or those who have worked or volunteered for the betterment of the lives of others in Monticello and Wayne County. The school essentially wants to recognize people in our community who have done selfless acts of service for the people in our community.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, October 28, 2002 at 3 PM EST. Nominations can be submitted through the Google Form - linked below- and also on the school website and social media pages, or a paper nomination form can be picked up in the front office of the Wayne County High School.
Principal Steve Thompson said, “We want to demonstrate to our students that compassion and character are just as important in becoming a successful, contributing citizen in our community as is academic excellence. We want to highlight people in Wayne County who often ‘fly under the radar’ but are continually doing good things that make people feel welcome and proud to be a part of Wayne County.”
The school plans to honor the individuals selected for this year’s Cardinal Impact Award in an award ceremony to be held on campus in November.
