Gov. Andy Beshear announced an executive order during his Feb. 23 media briefing that recommends all public school districts offer or expand in-person instructional opportunities beginning March 1, or seven days after district personnel receive their second COVID-19 vaccination.  

Students, educators and staff will be required to wear face coverings while on school grounds and inside school district transportation at all times, subject to the exceptions listed in the face coverings order, Executive Order 2021-070, and any renewal orders.

Donna Blevins was recognized during the January Board of Education Meeting for her 16 years of service to Wayne County Schools. She received a plaque from Superintendent Wayne Roberts for her years of working for the children of the county. She took a leadership role, serving as the chairperson for many of those years. #tellingourstoryky

The January/February 2021 Healthy Choices for Healthy Families English and Spanish Newsletter provides information on how to handle food cravings to making family meal times a priority, just to name a few of the articles. The Cooperative Extension Service supports this information and works within the schools to supplement nutrition, economics, and physical activity education.
