WCHS Girls Soccer Team beats Monroe County in a close game Girls Soccer Game vs Monroe

The Wayne County High School Girls Soccer team beat Monroe County 3-2 on Tuesday August 19th. Rylee Keith had a hat trick, scoring 3 goals. Jacklyn Crabtree and Shelby Bell both had an assist. The Lady Cards will be on the road Thursday night, August 22nd at Casey County.

Ten cadets from WCHS JROTC performed well at Junior Cadet Leadership Camp at Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond this summer. This marked the sixth time in seven years that a Wayne County cadet has earned a Leadership Award. Each summer 1 SG Snyder takes a group of cadets to the camp that, he works at each year. They teach students leadership skills in an unfamiliar environment with cadets from a variety of schools.

On August 12th the Wayne County Golf Team won at the Model Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky, with an impressive team score of 300.

Girls Soccer Team Wins First Game of the Season Girls Soccer Team

The Wayne County Girls High School Soccer Team won their first game of the season against Clinton County Thursday August 15th.

WCHS Football Season coming up 2019

Cardinals will scrimmage Metcalfe County on Friday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Jewell Field. Come out and support another great fall season of football. Go Cards!

Wayne County Schools welcome students back to school Wayne County Schools welcome students back to school

Approximately 3,000 students will be welcomed back to the Wayne County Schools
campus on the first day of classes on Wednesday, August 14.
Orientation activities are underway at each of the five school buildings. Kindergarteners
through seniors and their families are learning everything from codes of conduct to bus routes
to meal plans as general expectations are shared for the 2019-2020 school year.
