Recently, members of FCCLA have been participating in several activities to help raise awareness of child abuse.

Members recently donated teddy bears to the local social services to give to children who are removed from their homes.

Members sold awareness t-shirts, which further promoted child abuse awareness to buy the teddy bears that were donated. They sold 122 shirts, raising about $200.  In addition to buying teddy bears, some of the funds will be donated to the Galilean Home, a non-profit organization that helps those in need, located in Liberty Kentucky.

Sierra Roberts, president of FCCLA, and Tori Coffey, club member, made care baskets for local social workers to say thank you for all that they do in keeping children safe. These baskets included thank you cards signed by FCCLA members and other students in the school. On Friday, April 11, social worker Brandy King came by the school to pick up all the items that were donated.
