Hello! My name is Margaret Broadhurst and I am excited about teaching 7th grade science at Wayne County Middle School. I feel lucky to have a job that fits right in with my fascination with the natural world. From the time that I was a child to the present, I have always loved the great outdoors, so some of my favorite activities are hiking, fossil hunting, rock collecting, canoeing, and camping. I have been a camp counselor, an assistant geologist, outdoor classroom coordinator, and this is my 12th year as a science teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science in geology, a Masters degree in Middle School Teaching, and a Rank I. I am married and am getting used to the idea that my children are grown. My two youngest sons are in college- one at U of L and one at U of K. My goal as a science teacher is to nurture the innate sense of exploration and discovery that students have as we learn together about the world around us.
