Wayne County Schools has been moving forward with the quest toward meeting national nutrition standards and the new meal pattern as adopted with the final rule passed by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Act of 2010 which came under law July 1, 2012. It's our goal to offer nourishing school meals + creative nutrition education and healthy happy kids.

In collaboration with National School Lunch Week and Farm to School Month, Bell Elementary celebrated with a meet and greet event with Star Wars Characters. GT Talent Troupe teamed up with Food Service to help encourage students to make healthier choices and try new food items.

The Wayne County Schools will be hosting a public forum (KRS:158.856/KRS160.345) for our annual School Nutrition and Physical Activity Report on January 14, 2020, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the WC Board of Education main building at 1025 South Main Street, Monticello, KY in the conference room
