The boys golf team competed in the regional tournament September 28th at Eagles Nest Country Club in Somerset.  They won the runner up trophy.  Gage Gregory tied for first runner up having shot 73 and Gehrig Sexton placed 6th after shooting 75. This combo needs to be celebrated since they have been part of three regional team titles and two regional runner-up teams during their golf careers at Wayne County Schools. They both will advance to the state tournament in Bowling Green over fall break. This will be Gregory's fourth trip to the state tournament and Sexton has participated in six state tournaments all the way back to 2015. Besides these senior players, Aaron Heese shot 79, Cade Foster shot 87 and Hunter Bell shot 92.  

On September 27, the Lady Cardinal Golf Team finished 3rd overall in the girls Regional Tournament. Three golfers qualified for the state tournament; Kelsey Collin, Mallen Dobbs, and Carolyn Criswell.
