Color Guard shines at first competition

    The Wayne County High School Marching Band received a third place overall award on Saturday, September 11th at their first competition of the school year held at Somerset High School. Pulaski County placed first overall and Southwestern was second overall.

     The Wayne County Color Guard received Best in Class and the Best Overall Award. They are coached by former WCHS Color Guard Member Shelby Gregory. Those members include: Summer Canseco, Lacy Spencer, Krystal Rector, Taylor Bensman, Katey Bell, and Michaela Sexton.

       On Saturday, September 18th the band will be competing at North Laurel High School. Go Cards!
