Wayne County Schools will be returning to virtual learning for the entire student body beginning Wednesday, October 21, since the county has fallen into the “red-range” of community-spread, according to the Kentucky Department of Public Health.
In-person learning where students attend on rotating days will continue today (Monday) and Tuesday, before switching to virtual learning only. The AB rotating in-person learning schedule will resume on Wednesday, November 4th, which is the day after the election. Classes will not be in session on November 2 and 3, which was already built into the annual calendar schedule.
Six of the ten counties in the Lake Cumberland District Health Department Area are currently being reported in the “red-critical” range, according to the October 18th health briefing.
