NTI packets sent home to elementary students

Wayne County Schools will once again participate in Kentucky’s Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) program, which allows school districts to conduct classes through virtual or other means on days that the district would normally have to cancel for inclement weather.
Elementary students will complete their assignments in the form of a packet that was sent home on Monday, December 2nd.  Middle and high school students will complete their assignments through the Converge Learning Management System using their Chromebook.  Hard copies of the assignments will be provided to middle and high school students who do not have internet access at home.
On NTI days, each child’s teacher will be available to correspond with the parent or their child via phone or email between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM.  Should a student need assistance completing the assignments, do not hesitate to contact their teacher.  On the first day back to school, students who complete paper copies of their assignments should return it to their teacher.
Not all days missed for inclement weather will be NTI days.  If the district chooses to use an NTI day, it will be announced at the time the school closing is announced.
