Students in Shannon Foster's Foods and Nutrition class learned about the history of the famous Kentucky Hot Brown that was created in 1926 by Fred Schmidt at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville. The majority of the students had never heard of a Hot Brown before. Students applied their knowledge in foods lab by making a KY Hot Brown. At first, students were a little reluctant but all of the students seemed surprised at how good it was.
