Golf Scramble benefits Wayne County School Golf Team

On June 22nd, the Wayne County Golf Team held their annual golf scramble to raise money for their upcoming season. 

The golf team would like to thank Larry Matthews for organizing and coordinating the event. Three of the varsity golf team members were able to participate in the scramble: Gage Gregory, Reese Sexton, and Gehrig Sexton.  All members of the  varsity team were praised for the accomplishments from their season last year. 

Special thanks to William Criswell who provided signs that displayed all of Wayne County Golf Team's accomplishments which included team and individual appearances. 

Winners from the scramble were: Brent Sexton, Reese Sexton, Gehrig Sexton, and Zack Willis; second place was Buster Brown, Trey Blevins, Seth Crabtree and not pictured Grant Clark. 

Austin Shearer led all of the golf participants in a special prayer for Coach Stewart Gregory and his players for the upcoming season. 

The Wayne County Golf Team would like to thank everyone who supported the golf scramble.  “Without our supporters, family, and assistants, we could not make our success happen,” said Coach Gregory.
