2019 Archery Program made tremendous strides this school year

Brody Shelton state S3DA Outdoor Target Tournament June 29 first place in Elem Male Traditional


2019 KY NASP State Tournament

Coy Reynolds placed 9th in the High School Males division at the 2019 KY NASP State Tournament
(Coy placed 5th in the High School Male competition at the Somerset Christian Tournament on January 19th)

Brody Shelton placed 9th in the Elementary Males division at the 2019 KY NASP State Tournament
(Brody participated in the State S3DA Outdoor Target Tournament in Madisonville, Ky. He won 1st place in
Elementary Male Traditional which makes him STATE CHAMPION IN OUTDOOR TARGET on June 29th. He also missed
being shooter of the year by 2 points in his division.


These 3 young men shot in Madisonville, Ky at the State S3DA Outdoor Target Tournament on June 29th. Brody Shelton and Asa Flowers are STATE CHAMPIONS in their division and Brayden Upchurch was Shooter of the Year in his division. Asa also won Shooter of the Year. They shoot for the Lake Cumberland Arrow Slingers which is coached by Bobbi and Kristi Upchurch. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Wayne County individual archers, Matthew McCoy Reynolds and Brody Shelton, who placed in the top 10.They didn't get a medal but competed against hundred's of archers from across the state. 

The coaches were very proud of all their archers who participated in the tournament.

This is the second year in a row, that all 3 teams have qualified for NASP State.

"This is always one of the program's goals for the year, so every point counts," noted Head Coach Forrest Shelton.
