High Attendance Day

Kentucky High Attendance Day is Tuesday, September 17th. The Kentucky Directors of Pupil Personnel (KDPP) sponsor the event to stress the importance of coming to school every day. Six schools will be chosen as statewide winners and receive $500 each from the Kentucky Directors of Pupil Personnel. Last year, Wayne County Middle School won the 2018 Region 14 Middle School Large School Award. Wayne County Director of Pupil Personnel Stewart York presented Wayne County Middle School Principal Melissa Gossage with a certificate acknowledging this accomplishment. Middle school students participated in all kinds of fun and challenging special events last year on the special day focusing on good attendance, as well as the other schools across campus.
