The Orientation for Kentucky Early Care and Education certificate consists of a 6 hours training consisting of abuse and neglect identification, prevention, & reporting, safety & sanitation, and recommended practices. Students will also have to earn the Pediatric Head Trauma training and the Commonwealth Child Care Credential certificate of eligibility before the end of the school year to be transition/career ready. Students were able to complete the training at the migrant center where they have been able to set up a mock child care room to apply their knowledge.
