Fransisco-Mateo family remembered around school district

The students were given balloons of red, white, and blue to honor Emily's dedication to JROTC; the balloons contained notes written by the students

The Mateo Memorial fund raised a large amount of money for the family, thanks to friends, family, faculty and students. Visitation for Emily and Ivan will be Saturday, November 18th from five to seven p.m. followed by a church serive at Iglesia Monte Los Olivos at eight p.m. Burial will be Sunday, November 19th at eleven at Elk Springs Cemetary. "Mateo Strong" bracelets created by the group "Friends of Emily" can be purchased in the library of WCHS to raise money for the family.
