    Wayne County will resume in-person classes on Monday, September 28 on an alternating schedule.  In-person students will be assigned to attend school on either Red (Monday & Wednesday) or White (Tuesday and Thursday) days.  All other days will be virtual days.  Expect communication from your child’s teacher regarding their assignment by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 22nd. Arrangements will be made for all members of the same household to attend on the same days.  Students who chose the full-time virtual option will continue with virtual instruction.

High Attendance Day set for Tuesday, September 17th

High Attendance Day

Kentucky High Attendance Day is Tuesday, September 17th. The Kentucky Directors of Pupil Personnel (KDPP) sponsor the event to stress the importance of coming to school every day. Six schools will be chosen as statewide winners and receive $500 each from the Kentucky Directors of Pupil Personnel. Last year, Wayne County Middle School won the 2018 Region 14 Middle School Large School Award. Wayne County Director of Pupil Personnel Stewart York presented Wayne County Middle School Principal Melissa Gossage with a certificate acknowledging this accomplishment. Middle school students participated in all kinds of fun and challenging special events last year on the special day focusing on good attendance, as well as the other schools across campus.
