    Wayne County will resume in-person classes on Monday, September 28 on an alternating schedule.  In-person students will be assigned to attend school on either Red (Monday & Wednesday) or White (Tuesday and Thursday) days.  All other days will be virtual days.  Expect communication from your child’s teacher regarding their assignment by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 22nd. Arrangements will be made for all members of the same household to attend on the same days.  Students who chose the full-time virtual option will continue with virtual instruction.

Wayne County District Parent Teacher Conferences for first quarter underway

WCHS Parent Teacher Conference

     Wayne County Middle School’s first Parent Teacher Conference of the school year will be Tuesday, Sept. 18 th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.  Parents are invited to come and talk with their child’s teachers and pick up their mid-term grades for the first nine weeks. 

     The school will also be having Family Literacy Night that evening in the library.  Please make plans to attend one of the sessions at either 5:00 or 6:00 pm to receive information on library resources, Reading Plus, and Read and Respond requirements for language arts classes.  There will be a drawing for a door prize at the end of both information sessions.

      Monticello Elementary has scheduled their Parent Teacher Conference for Tuesday, September 25 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 4 the first and second graders at Bell will have a Parent Teacher Conference from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The kindergarten classes at Walker Early Learning Center will welcome parents on both October 16 and 23 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for Parent Teacher Conferences. The preschool staff make home visits so parents and teachers can keep in touch.
