Welcome to the Purple Team!! We are very excited to have your child in our classroom this year. Mrs. Shannon Shelton has been teaching for Wayne County Schools in preschool for 18 years. Mrs. Jo Morris has been teaching for Wayne County Schools in preschool for 5 years. This is Mrs. Catrina Hale's first year at Walker Early Learning Center teaching. We follow the Creative Curriculum at preschool. We assess using the Teaching Strategies Gold to measure the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that are most predictive of school success. Teaching  Strategies Gold helps you focus on competencies valued in state early learning standards. We believe every child can learn, just not on the same day, or in the same way.
