On Friday, June 15th, the Wayne County 21st Century Drama Camp performed at the Historic Wayne Theater. The group performed ‘The Great Middle School Mystery,’ a play written and directed by Nicholas Kidd.
The play featured several students in a school environment. The lead of the play, Billie (portrayed by Caroline Crabtree), is known as the GOAT, her detective handle. In ‘The Great Middle School Mystery,’ the GOAT must figure out who stole the money for the school-wide fundraiser while also helping other students and managing her day-to-day school life.
The camp was only given a week to memorize lines and learn stage directions. This is the second year that 21st Century has offered the camp to its students.
