Wayne County School students had a number of heroes to be inspired by at the recent Veterans Day celebrations. It was quite a day for teachable moments with opportunities for students to participate in and learn from individuals that know the real meaning of service.

Bell Elementary Patriotic Program featured Rhonda Ward's class 2nd grade class

The JROTC Color Guard presented the flags from the different branches of the military at the Salute to Veterans program, which featured second graders from Rhonda Ward's class at Bell Elementary. Each month, Bell Elementary Teachers Lois Bradley and Susan Helms work on a program for a class to present in front of an audience.

GT Fundraiser for trip to Greece is all about pasta with personality Scene from Athens, Greece

Unique pasta, gourmet fun, gift boxes and sets, soups and chilis, and mac 'n cheese are available. The Greece Travel Study students are selling Fun Pasta through Wednesday, November 13. This a unique and very cool way to support Wayne County travel abroad students.

South Kentucky RECC and Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives this summer celebrated the graduation of eight teachers from an innovative program to lay the groundwork for creating a Kentucky workforce trained in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
