With the recent boom in Computer Sciences at WCHS, students are getting their hands on a lot of new technology. Students are intrigued so much by it that a new course was implemented into computer science teacher Marsha Bertram’s curriculum – Technology Design. In this class, students will get a chance to work with vinyl decal printers, poster makers, and 3D printers among other equipment.
Aside from learning how this technology works and how to use it, students also experience the marketing side of our newly technological world. The class has begun selling vinyl decals that they’ve printed. These decals were made and/or edited by the students who have spent the year learning to be proficient with the tech.
Costing only $3, the decals are available for purchase at the IT Help Desk in Mrs. Bertram’s room during fourth period. The decals are perfect for your Chromebook or as car decoration! All funds are used by the class in order to purchase their materials.
For more information or to place an order, visit Mrs. Bertram’s room or swing by during fifth period to speak to the students.
The Tech Design class will also be visiting the Middle School during lunch periods on October 3rd and 4th to take orders from WCMS students!
