Congrats to Lady Basketball Cards on win at 48th District Competition over McCreary Central

Four girls basketball seniors honored

Lady Cards defeated McCreary Central 56-35 on Monday, February 21 in 48th District competition. During their last game four Wayne County seniors and their families were recognized at the start of the Varsity Basketball game with Campbellsville on Thursday, February 17th. The Campbellsville seniors were also recognized with Campbellsville defeating the Cards by only one point, 38-39. The Wayne County seniors - Mariah Bowlin, Mallory Campbell, Kenzie Upchurch, and Xavier West and their teammates fought hard all season with a win-loss record of 10-17. They started 48th District Competition at McCreary Central on Monday, February 21 and advanced.  The Lady Cardinals will take on Southwestern in the championship game Thursday, February 24 at 7 pm. Go Cards!

 Zoe Stockton received $500 Donna Guffey Memorial Scholarship from Eli Sexton

Cheerleader Zoe Stockton received the $500 Donna Guffey Memorial Scholarship from Eli Sexton. Ms. Guffey was the middle school and an assistant high school cheerleading sponsor for many years.
