Students in Shannon Foster’s Foods and Nutrition class recently learned about the iconic Kentucky Hot Brown.
Most had never tried one and many had never heard of the dish that Kentucky is known for. After learning the history of the dish, students went into the foods lab and put their knowledge and skills into practice.
Foster said, I love to watch my students develop new skills that will help them as they transition into adulthood.”
Family and Consumer Science students enjoy the creative assignments and hands-on activities where they master a variety of talents.
