Digital Learning Training for New Teachers- Each school has a couple of teachers who teach students, while also assisting fellow teachers with technology questions. Currently, they include: Walker-DeShay Dishman and Sasha Chaplin/ Bell-Jennifer Sexton and Rachael Durbin/ Monticello Elem.-Cyndi Neal and McKayla Jones/ WCMS-Juliet Perkins/ WCHS-Marsha Bertram. The technology training was held at Bell Elementary, Monticello Elementary, and WCMS for new incoming teachers at those buildings. For instance, at Monticello Elementary, digital learning coaches shared Frontline (software used to schedule an absence, request a sub, and keep track of personal and sick days), Infinite Campus (used primarily for attendance purposes), Class DOJO (a behavior student management software program controlled through the school website or an app), and Google Classroom (all kinds of teaching resources connect to this software or teachers can create assignments for students to view on their Chromebooks). Newer programs that will be used even more this school year are Easy Screen Recording (a webcam that can be published featuring the classroom teacher) and Zoom (where classes can meet virtually).
