Wayne County Schools Gifted and Talented Program is sponsoring two big events headed into this weekend. On Friday, June 1st a Scrap Metal Recycling Event will be held at Wayne County High School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fundraiser will help with the students’ travel study program. Household scrap metal including all kinds of items like: air conditioners, aluminum cans, bikes, lamps, tire rims, grills, tools, and more will be accepted. Call the school at 348-8484 to schedule a pick up for large items or stop by the WC Maintenance Garage across from the high school to drop these items off.
In addition, the Gifted Program will hold a multi-family yard sale event on Saturday, June 2nd from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Aspire Center. Proceeds will also go towards the travel study program.
