As Kentucky observes School Board Recognition Month in January, Wayne County is joining in the celebration by expressing appreciation to their board members. During the January meeting the board members were recognized for their service and dedication. In addition, the consolidated district improvement plan was discussed, an architect from Alt 32 shared information about the interior plans for the new career center, the nutrition/activity annual report was shared, along with discussions on instruction and other business.

The Biometric Check is a blood screening and biometric assessment that measures body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, blood glucose (sugar), and total cholesterol.

Migrant Family Christmas program held at Historic Wayne Theatre Migrant workers gathered gift boxes which were loaded for the annual holiday party

Over 100  people attended the annual holiday party. There are currently 80 children enrolled in the local migrant program. Special thanks to St. Peters Catholic Church for helping with the gifts, as well as Monticello Banking Company for the refreshments and Rudolph movie at the local theatre. A PAC meeting was held after the movie and gift giving so parents could receive educational information and offer input into the program.

Wayne County Schools Participate in Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Student Government float included our mascot, the Cardinal during the Christmas Parade

This year's theme was "Hometown Country Christmas." Winner of the Best Academic Float was Wayne County High School Student Government Association. Second place in that division was awarded to the Wayne County High School Lady Cardinal Soccer Team.
