 Summer break is almost here and it’s time to begin planning Wayne County Schools’ summer feeding program designed for youth.  The school nutrition services department extend this opportunity to become a partner with your school and community events or activities.

In furthering our efforts to help support our community, we are utilizing the Historic Wayne Theater for community events and fundraisers for local schools, civic groups and other organizations. All proceeds go to the group holding the fundraiser with the bank furnishing popcorn and beverages free of charge. We thank you for helping support our community and hope to see you soon!

Berea Artist-In-Residence inspires Bell Elementary students

Artist Alfredo Escobar recently spent a week sharing his talent with the young learners who were delighted with a colorful mural project they got to participate in, along one of the school’s hallways. Each student had the opportunity to leave a little history behind in two fun murals inspired by their study of world languages, which had been on-going during their Arts and Humanities classes this school year.
