Seniors participated in College Signing Day College Signing Day Senior Group

Numerous colleges, technical schools, and the military, were represented at the annual College Signing Day for Wayne County students. Classmates, teachers, and families were happy to recognize these seniors who will be furthering their educations after graduation.

Baseball Season well under way for Wayne County Baseball Cards Tito Ruiz pitching the baseball

Cards defeated Southwestern in a dramatic win 6-5 on April 16th, followed by a loss to North Laurel on April 18th. Come out and support Wayne County High School Baseball Team on Saturday April 27th for a home game with Lincoln County at noon.

The Boy's Tennis Team has a current record of 7-2. The Girl's Tennis Team currently has a record of 8-3. The tennis teams have matches scheduled for Monday, April 22 at home against Garrard County, followed by Clinton County (away) on Tuesday, April 23, and then back home on Thursday, April 25 to play Casey County. The Regional Tournament for the Girl's Team is set for May 16 and the Boy's Team will compete at Region on May 17 in Danville. Go Cards! 

Wayne County High School students benefit from SCC orientation session and advising/scheduling team events SCC

Representatives from Kentucky Community and Technology College System in Somerset
have been visiting seniors at Wayne County High School who are planning to continue their
studies in the neighboring county after graduation. Advising counselors have been assisting
them in making plans for their postsecondary education.

Visual arts student Rylee Keith received a $100 check for her 1st place finish in the annual art contest. She also received pastels, sketch pad, and trading card for her outstanding colored pencil artwork. She has produced acrylic pantings, grid drawings, linoluem block prints, and 3-D printed works in the elective class.
