Wayne County High School was recently named a GRAMMY Signature School and the band was granted a $2000 community award. Wayne County High School was chosen by the GRAMMY foundation’s Education Team to represent Kentucky. WCHS was selected because of the band’s continued success.

“Our goal is to always give the funding to schools where it will have the most impact,” said Angelica Pollard of the GRAMMY organization. The Wayne County High School band directors plan to make sure every dollar of this donation is put to good use

Grant funding will go toward show production, instrument maintenance, and color guard equipment. It will also help cover the cost of meals when the band travels for competitions.
