Preschooler Kayley Baker, her mom Trish Baker, and teacher Pam Brown brought a box of donuts to the Central Office staff for recognizing World Down Syndrome Day in support of children with Down Syndrome and their families. March 21st is chosen because individuals with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome have a third copy of the 21st chromosome, hence 3/21.
The Lake Cumberland Special Blessings Support Group would like to invite the school district and community to participate in World Down Syndrome Day March 21st. This day is set aside worldwide to promote awareness and support for individuals with Down Syndrome. March 21 is chosen because individuals with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome have a third copy of the 21st chromosome, hence 3/21.
Next week, we will be electing school council members to serve for the 2017-2018 school year
at Bell Elementary. Nominations should be made in writing to the principal, at Bell Elementary
by March 20th. You may pick up a form in the front office.
Orders must be given on Thursday, March 16. Proceeds go to the WC Baseball Home Run club.
