The Lancaster Grand Theatre Offers Performance for Students The Lancaster Grand Theatre

There are several upcoming performances at the restored theater in Lancaster, Kentucky that will enhance the holidays.

FBLA Participates in Bell's Literacy Night FBLA Group

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) provided assistance to Bell Elementary Staff at the Fall Literacy Night. Members of the ATC club read books to first and second graders who attended the "Learning is Not So Scary" event on October 25th. This is one of several service projects the FBLA club is involved in on the Wayne County Schools campus. Mrs. Dana Hurd and Mr. Rob Allen are the advisers of the club, which enhances students' leadership skills.

program coordinated by health/physical education teacher Lois Bradley.

Author Mike Artell will be speaking at WCMS after school book

Reading Matters! Wayne County Schools’ 21st Century After School program will be hosting a special reading event
Thursday, November 1st at 5:00 p.m. that the community is welcome to attend. Conference speaker Mike Artell will captivate the audience at the Wayne County Middle School with some amazing insights into reading with your child. He is the author of more than 35 books. His talents also include working as an illustrator and cartoonist, as well as being a musician. He has spoken at hundreds of conferences, so don’t miss this interesting special event which is in conjunction with a school literacy grant. Door prizes and refreshments will follow the presentation.
