KY Commissioner of Education Stephen L. Pruitt listened to Bell Elementary Teacher Lois Bradley discuss the importance of Physical Education as Department of Education employees listened to educators respond to a draft school accountability proposal at the SE Ky Town Hall in Laurel County.

Alumni band concert coming up Alumni band concert coming up

The Wayne County High School Band will be hosting a concert at 6:00 p.m. this Friday night followed by

a dinner and alumni reception at the high school from 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Bell Elementary Second graders receive books by Nila J. Webster Rhonda Ward's class

The second graders were delighted to receive The Magic of Moonlight from the author. Media Specialtist Nell Boils distributed the books during National Library week.

Final Mandated Transportation Evacuation Drill to be held Friday, April 21 Driver Misty Hicks handed her drill sheet to Transportation Coordinator Tim Pyles

Classes will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. in order for students and bus drivers to participate in timed evacuation drills to practice emergency procedures. Wayne County Schools have an excellent safety record logging an amazing 2,744.8 miles per day. The last drill was held just before Spring Break.
